Hello dears. I found this lovely vintage piece over at Geronimo Vintage on Ebay. I had been eyeing this shirt since I saw it at a few local shops..but it was way pricey, so I did some online searching and got a good deal for it over at Geronimo Vintage. I like the slits in the top and when I get skinnier.. I will like it more! While I was doing this shoot, a women was driving by stopped at the light and was yelling out her window "Where did you get that shirt, I love it and I want one too!".
Once you take away all of the sparkle and shine, all you have left underneath is you..I wonder can someone really "love" everything about who we are? once your hair is gone..looks..etc..when nothing is left, but who we are underneath. Love is such a misused word..I hear it all of the time..and I wonder really?.. Do you really know what "love" is? I have been out and seen many married couples and I see the men looking at something cute walking by while their wife and kids are there..Is this love? I always feel so bad for that woman, because I hate how our society is based around looks. Any of the people that I have been with it has always been about their personality..let's be real, looks still play a part..but I do believe that you can whole heatedly love someone just because you love them. I also see the couples that sit there and have nothing to say to each-other after years of being together..couples that stay together for money, or for the kids..Is this "love"? In my life I have only seen one love that I know has been "love" and I have not seen another since. My great grandparents were crazy about each-other, and they were together for over 50 years. When you looked at them you knew. After my great grandfather died, my grandmother developed Alzheimer's, she would lay out his clothes for him and talk to him everyday and say that she couldn't wait to be with him. This in short-was love. I was born in the wrong time frame..my heart lives in the 50's. Who know's maybe "love" was the same then, and I am just living in that fairy tale of what I think love should be, and what love was like then. I am terrified..I have so many strikes against me that I may be out of luck. What is your definition of love? Have you been lucky to find the real love? Have you ever loved someone so much and not had that love be returned?..That I have to say is the knife to the heart. Love is not about how you look..not about how much money you have..not about where you live..or if you have kids or not...not about what you have accomplished, or not... Love is the very being that you are underneath it all. The treasure that takes only one to truly see when you have nothing left to offer. Love won't care how many strikes you have against you.
To quote the fabulous Carrie Bradshaw..
"I'm someone who is looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love."
on that note..I "love" this top!
